A shark warning has been issued after a surfer was knocked off his board in Yallingup on Saturday.
The male surfer was at the popular Mainbreak in the South West when the 2m bronze whaler shark knocked him off his surfboard about 7.30am.
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development said the incident was reported by a member of the public at about 9.45am.
It is understood the surfer left the water and went home.
There were no reports of him being injured.
DPIRD is investigating the incident and has encouraged people to take extra caution in the area, adhere to beach closures and check for shark activity on the SharkSmart.
