West Aussies chase their slice of tonight’s $70m Oz Lotto draw

Close to 500,000 tickets are predicted to be sold ahead of tonight’s mega Oz Lotto draw.

Up for grabs is $70 million.

Lotterywest estimates more than 470,000 tickets will be sold in the lead up to tonight’s draw, with plenty of West Aussies taking a punt on scoring part of the life-changing prize pool.

While no local players have taken home division one prizes in either of OZ Lotto or Powerball’s jackpot runs, more than half-a-million West Aussies have shared in prizes worth more than $11.5 million in other divisions across both games.

“It’s a $100 million mega week with OZ Lotto at $70 million tonight and Powerball at $30 million on Thursday…” Lotterywest spokeswoman Hermione Coleman said.

Retailers will be at their busiest between 4pm and 5pm, with some 700 tickets being sold each minute.

The draw will take place at 6pm.
