West Aussie wins $1.25m Oz Lotto prize

A WA player has experienced what every lotto entrant dreams of, becoming an instant millionaire after hitting the jackpot to secure a division one prize.

The player’s seven winning balls — 13, 11, 38, 43, 20, 39, 8 and supplementary numbers 6 and 3 — fell their way during Tuesday’s Oz Lotto draw, earning them $1.25 million.

The West Australian was one of two division one prize winners.

There were no local winners in division two, however 70 entrants earned more than $3,000 in division three.

It comes after two WA lotto players scooped $1.2 million in Saturday lotto.

Meanwhile a Burswood man has credited a last-minute decision to catch a bus for a monster $50,000 Scratch ’n Win prize.

The tradie had been facing the rather gloomy prospect of getting an injection in his knee.

So, rather than walk to the medical appointment, he decided to hail a bus.

That decision took him past The Lucky Charm Victoria Park, where he purchased a Pharaoh’s Treasure Scratch’n’Win game to pass the time in the waiting room.

Little did he know that move would earn him a big cash prize.
