You’re never too old to take a ripping catch in the outer.
One veteran fan showed the kids exactly how it’s done with a crisp take following a Hilton Cartwright six during WA’s Marsh Cup clash with South Australia in Adelaide.
Cartwright pulled Kane Richardson over the boundary with a neatly-struck blow, and in the process, picked out one of the fans scattered along the deep square leg section of the crowd.
The man put down his deck chair, completed the catch, and showed his handiwork to the rest of the punters.

He then picked up his chair once more before tossing the ball back into play.
And the kids at the ground showed their appreciation in adorable style, running up to the man to dish out high fives.
It was one of few highlights for WA as they sputtered to a miserable start against the Redbacks, including slumping to 7-170 shortly after Cartwright’s dismissal for 43.
A win will secure WA’s place in the Marsh Cup final.
