It was always going to happen, wasn’t it?
After being accidentally sledged by Reilly O’Brien on Twitter, Nic Naitanui outmuscled his Crows opponent for the Eagles’ first goal against Adelaide.
West Coast’s talisman followed up his own work by snatching the loose ball, wheeling around and snapping truly late in the first term.

He appeared to follow up with a point toward O’Brien, who inadvertandly posted his match plan on Twitter this week that described Naitanui as “lazy and unfit”.
The Eagles needed the spark, barely threatening the scorers up to that point after Adelaide booted the first major through Tom Lynch.
Naitanui’s four touches and six hitouts gave him an early edge over O’Brien (two touches, four hitouts) in the opening term as the Eagles took an eight-point lead.
