Warm climate: Summer days roll in early for Perth

The West Australian

VideoPerth’s weather forecast.

It may only be November, but the summery weather has rolled in early.

The mercury has already topped 31C on Friday – making it the hottest day in six months.

And there’s still plenty of sunshine to come over the weekend and into next week.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, the warm weather is above the November average of 26.6C.

A top of 28C is forecast for Perth on Saturday and while it dips to 25C for Sunday and Monday, the mercury is expected to top 30C again next week.

Friday’s 31C is the hottest Perth day since May 12 – and the first time we’ve surpassed the 30C milestone since that date.

It’s still a fair way off the all-time hottest November day which was recorded on November 11 in 2003.

On that day, the mercury hit 40.3C.
