Chris Sabburg is in for his Perth Scorchers debut.

The Wanneroo skipper and former Brisbane Heat batter will make his first appearance as a Scorchers in Sunday’s BBL10 final re-match against Sydney Sixers in Coffs Harbour.

The 32-year-old, nicknamed ‘Strawbs’, played the last of his nine BBL appearances 2921 days ago and was lining up in the T20 Slam in Albany just 11 days ago where he made a 53-ball century.

Sabburg will bat at number six for the Scorchers, coming in for New Zealander Colin Munro who was struck down with COVID on Sunday and forced to isolate.
