WAFC opens door for ex-West Coast Eagle Ashley Sampi to receive Glendinning-Allan Medal amid lobbying

The West Australian Football Commission is discussing the prospect of Ashley Sampi finally being awarded a retrospective Glendinning-Allan Medal amid lobbying from West Coast and two of the judges for the small forward to finally be recognised.

Sampi was voted as best-on-ground by a panel of five WAFC-appointed judges in the opening derby of 2003, but Ross Glendinning presented the medal to Michael Gardiner under the belief he could make his own decision.
