WA Police call on public to help catch alleged Parliament honey bomber

Police are calling for the public’s help to solve a bizarre case involving honey being squirted outside Parliament House.

Officers found the “organic honey-based substance” on a footpath and paving around WA’s home of democracy on August 30.

Firefighters trained to deal with hazardous materials were initially called to handle the incident, however testing later revealed it was lavender honey.

Police believe a man wearing blue jeans and a grey shirt who was captured on CCTV may be able to help with their inquiries.

Last Sunday, Parliamentary Services executive manager Rob Hunter told MPs the perpetrator had been captured on CCTV but not identified.

Anyone with information regarding the incident or who has dash camera vision of the area from last Sunday morning is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
