The WA Government has backflipped on a decision to cut $13 million in funding for 105 Community Resource Centres following a public outcry.

Regional Development Minister Alannah MacTiernan says a review of the program highlighted areas that could be improved and as a result the traineeship component will be strengthened to ensure centres are working with local businesses and governments in country towns.

The Liberal and National parties are using the opportunity to call on the McGowan government to also reverse its decision to close Moora Residential College and other cuts.
