WA doctor to face child abuse charges

A general practitioner in Western Australia’s southwest is alleged to have sexually abused two girls over a period of several years.

WA Police have charged the 60-year-old with 19 offences as part of an ongoing investigation into his activities.

It’s alleged he committed the offences against two female victims, aged between 13 and 16, from November 2019 to March this year.

The charges include one count of possessing child exploitation material and the offences are alleged to have been committed in the South West and Mandurah police districts.

He is due to face Perth Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
