Broncos linebacker Von Miller will compete for the AFC team in the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown on Thursday in Orlando, Florida.
The showdown pits select players from the AFC and NFC in competitions that include dodgeball, a timed relay race, “Precision Passing” (players try to hit moving targets) and “Best Hands” (quarterback-receivers duos connect on as many pass attempts as possible in an allotted time).
Miller will be joined on the AFC team by Bengals defensive tackle Geno Atkins, Chargers receiver Keenan Allen, Dolphins receiver Jarvis Landry, Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith and running back Kareem Hunt and Steelers kicker Chris Boswell.
The showdown will air on ESPN at 5 p.m. and the Pro Bowl will be played at 1 p.m. Jan. 28.
This year’s Pro Bowl selection is the sixth of Miller’s career, tying him with Karl Mecklenburg for the second-most by a Broncos linebacker (Randy Gradishar is first with seven). He and cornerback Aqib Talib are the lone Broncos representatives this year.
