Vintage Fair aims for sustainability

Witchcliffe comes alive again this weekend for its annual Vintage Fair.

Now in its ninth year, tomorrow’s festivities unfold from 9am.

Organiser Jo Bregazzi was full of praise for “the wonderful little Druids Hall and grounds” which would again host the event.

Part proceeds from the day go to local charity River Angels to help residents living with cancer.

“There will be a monster raffle, wine tasting by Flor Marche, kids’ craft hosted by Kate Dunn (from) 10-noon and food delights made by Jo and Julie from Betty Garden will be available from the country kitchen — and there will be loads of stalls with vintage retro treasures,” Ms Bregazzi said.

A line-up of vintage cars is also expected on the day.

“This event aims to be sustainable-to-low waste, so bring your mug and shopping bag,” Ms Bregazzi said.

“I’m very excited about this coming fair.

“The event increases in popularity every year, and it’s always a joy to see local faces having a fab day out.

“The event also gives people the opportunity to make sustainable purchases for the home, themselves, or Christmas gifts.”

The fair starts at 9am and runs until after midday.
