Vic man arrested over Hastings death

A man has been arrested over the death of another man on Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula.

The 29-year-old victim died at Hastings on Monday morning after suffering upper-body injuries.

Police launched a homicide investigation and have since arrested a 25-year-old Hastings man.

The man, wearing a green shirt and black shorts, was seen standing handcuffed next to a vehicle on Monday afternoon and is now assisting detectives.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
