Four Russian intelligence officers have been arrested and expelled from the Netherlands following an alleged cyber-hacking plot against the global chemical weapons watchdog. The Dutch Defence Minister claims Russian GRU members carried out an operation against the Organisation for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons during investigations into the nerve agent used in the UK, against Sergei Skripal, and April’s chemical attack in Syria. United States officials have charged seven Russian spies with hacking various organisations, including anti-doping agencies. The Russian Foreign Ministry has denied the accusations.
