Two men arrested for Aurora Mall shooting Friday

Two men have been arrested in connection with gunfire at the Aurora Mall Friday afternoon.

Keshaun Thomas-Dunn, 19, and Devonte Shead, 20, were caught by Aurora Police after running from the mall following the shooting.

Thomas-Dunn was arrested for possession of a weapon by a previous offender and aggravated assault. Shead was arrested for attempted second-degree murder.

A third male, who was in the company of Thomas-Dunn and Shead, was arrested for unrelated warrants and is not facing charges in connection to the mall shooting, Aurora Police said.

The shooting occurred about 2:45 p.m. at the Town Center of the mall, located at 14200 E. Alameda Ave.

After police arrived at the scene, they quickly learned there was no active shooter situation but rather an isolated disturbance between three adult men. A physical fight took place between the men and at least one gunshot was fired, police said.

After they were apprehended, two of the three men were transported to area hospitals to be evaluated for minor injuries, police said.
