Two circus performers are in hospital after plunging to the ground during a show on the Gold Coast on Wednesday night.
The man and woman, both in their 30s, fell around 2.5 metres during a Circus Rio performance at Westfield Helensvale.
Around 9.30pm, critical care paramedics transported them both in stable conditions to Gold Coast University Hospital.
The woman was suffering with back pain and the man experienced shoulder pain.

The Circus Rio Spectacular is a cast of internationally acclaimed, world-class Australian and international performers.
Laura Burgess was at the show and told The Courier-Mail that there were lots of frightened children in the audience who witnessed the accident.
“Lots of kids were shaken by it. There were kids in the audience crying,” she said.
“It happened so fast that it took a moment to realise it wasn’t part of the show … There was a massive yell and bang,” Ms Burgess said.
Circus Rio have been contacted for comment.
