Manjimup Library’s annual Spring Book Sale will offer bargains for keen readers while raising money for new books.
It has been the library’s main fundraising event for at least the past five years and all proceeds go back into buying new resources for the shire’s four libraries.
The sale runs from today until Saturday in Manjimup and on Friday and Saturday at the Walpole Library.
“In addition to books, we also have DVDs, audiobooks, magazines and puzzles available for sale,” Manjimup shire president Paul Omodei said.
Cr Omodei said there would be something for the whole family and each item would cost an average of $2.
“Items in the sale comprise both donations from readers and items from our libraries’ collections that are no longer in use,” he said.
“Our library book sales have always been incredibly well supported by the community and the funds raised ensure the libraries can continue to grow and improve their collections.
“We also want to acknowledge our wonderful volunteers who so generously offer their time to assist us with the sale.”
