Trudeau pays tribute to Canada shooting victims

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has issued a statement expressing his sympathy for the four victims of a shooting in New Brunswick, including two police officers. ‘There is no greater gesture than to put oneself in harm’s way to protect the life of another,’ Mr Trudeau said of the first respondents who were killed in the attack. At least one suspect is in custody and is being treated for serious injuries. The Speaker of the New Brunswick Legislative Assembly has ordered flags to be flown at half-mast on Legislative grounds.
