Traffic gridlock after northern suburbs crash

UPDATE: A serious crash in Perth’s northern suburbs this morning has been cleared.

Emergency crews were working to free two people who were understood to be trapped in a vehicle after the crash between two cars on Hepburn Avenue in Duncraig.

Two people have been taken to Royal Perth Hospital via St John Ambulance. One person is understood to have serious injuries, while a second has non life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened westbound, after the Mitchell Freeway, about 6.15am and caused heavy traffic jams in the area.

However, the crash scene has since been cleared and traffic is running as normal.
