‘Top attitude, Top professional, Top person,’ – Perth Glory coach lavishes praise on Jacob Young

Young Perth Glory defender Jacob Young, hoping to follow in the footsteps of his father , has signed a one-year scholarship contract with the A-League club.

Young, 22, joined Glory on a short-term deal midway through last season, made two A-League appearances off the bench, and has been a regular starter for the Glory academy NPL WA side.

The former Sunderland youth player, who also spent time with German side Hoffenheim II, is hoping to emulate his father Stuart who made 22 Glory appearances between 2005-2007.
