Tickets for Western Derby between Fremantle Dockers and West Coast Eagles available from next week

Three-game Western Derby memberships are set to be in high demand for Fremantle fans looking to secure a set at the blockbuster clash against West Coast to mark footy’s return to WA.

And Eagles members are set for a chance to get in on the action thanks to a generous act from their cross-town rivals.

The Dockers will host the Eagles on Sunday July 19, with the Optus Stadium fixture set to host a full complement of 60,000 for the state’s first crowd-filled AFL game of the year.

Fremantle members who donated 100 per cent of their membership refund to the club or made a ‘platinum’ or ‘silver’ pledge already have access to seats, with the Dockers set to contact them by email in the coming days.

Remaining members of the Purple Army can sew up their access by purchasing a three-game membership, starting from $100 for adults, that includes Freo’s first three home matches of the season.

Otherwise, Dockers members have access to a priority ticket pre-sale through Ticketmaster from 9am Monday.

West Coast members will get their chance from 9am Tuesday, with a pre-sale window provided by Fremantle.

“We have chosen to provide a pre-sale window for (Eagles) members given the unique circumstances of the season,” Fremantle chief executive Simon Garlick said.

“The support all club members and fans have given AFL clubs throughout the season has been incredible.

“Whilst we will ensure our members have first access to available seats for the RAC Derby, we felt it was important to give WCE members a pre-sale opportunity also.”

General public tickets will go on sale from 9am Wednesday.
