Three killed and dozens injured in Paris bakery gas explosion

Two firefighters and a Spanish citizen have died and dozens have been injured following a suspected gas leak explosion and fire at a bakery in central Paris. The blast occurred on the Rue de Trevise in the 9th Arrondissement in north-central Paris. Video recorded shortly after the incident shows the damage to the store and surrounding buildings, with debris strewn across the street. The French capital was already on high alert as authorities braced themselves for a ninth weekend of ‘yellow vest’ protests.
