The West Australian’s Free Fuel Fill Up competition winner tells of welcome win while recovering from COVID

Ardross resident Rejeana Heatley-Green had been feeling under the weather when she opened a copy of The West Australian and found a $100 fuel voucher, to her delight.

The 47-year-old mum, who is in between jobs, was one of The West’s lucky readers to win a randomly placed fuel voucher last week as part of the Free Fuel Fill Up competition.

Even running a small car, she’s conscious about buying fuel when it’s cheapest, which tends to be every second Tuesday on the last day of the price cycle.

“I normally don’t win anything so to win something like this is great … given the price of fuel at the moment,” Ms Heatley-Green said.

She said her mother bought a copy of The West at an Applecross newsagency and kindly let her have it, so she shared it with her daughter as a thank you for driving her around while she recovered from COVID, still feeling a bit run down.

Ms Heatley-Green said the voucher had been “very helpful” and hoped it heralded her luck changing for the better.
