The Morning Show hosts’ jab at new Meghan and Harry portrait

Australian morning TV hosts have parodied new photos of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after an accidental doppelganger moment.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were snapped backstage at the One Young World Summit in England that brought young leaders together from all around the globe.

Co-hosts of Channel 7’s The Morning Show Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur made the hilarious discovery on Wednesday that Gillies had been dressed in a similar bright red blouse to Meghan.

The hosts decided to take the opportunity to mimic the famous couple – even capturing their awkward hand hold.

Gillies also took to social media to share the photos and further slam the couple she dubbed as the “Duke and Duchess of BS” in her caption.

“The Duke and Duchess of BS. That’s my caption,” she wrote.

Edmur reportedly thought it would be funnier to poke fun at the Prince’s chequered public profile and accusations that Meghan used the marriage to attain royal status.

“Larry’s caption is: At least two men in this photo have played naked billiards in Vegas,” Gillies wrote.

“And at least two women in this photo would do anything to get the keys to a Castle.

“I think @larryemdur‘s caption wins.”

The pictures were taken by friend of the couple and celebrity photographer Misan Harriman, who has also taken photos of Rihanna, Stormzy, Tom Cruise and Giorgio Armani.

It came days after he released an official portrait he took of the Sussexes joined by King Charles and the Queen Consort Camilla.
