Hensman Park underlined their status as favourites to defend their men’s Tennis West State League title by outlasting Dalkeith to remain unbeaten.
Austin Voss and Ethan Cook led the way for the home side in Saturday’s tie, winning their singles matches and then partnering to prevail in the top-ranked doubles clash to inspire the four-rubbers-to-two victory.
Cook cruised past Dalkeith’s Oliver Henderson 6-1 6-2 and Voss took care of Nathan Lim 6-4 6-3, but it was the pair’s heated doubles clash against Scott Webster and Josiah Tyson that helped seal the tie.
Elsewhere in men’s action, Royal Kings Park accounted for Mt Lawley five rubbers to one, while Cottesloe prevailed by the same scoreline against UWA.
Hensman Park’s women’s unit similarly flexed their muscle as defending champs with a clean-sweep triumph over Alexander Park.
And Peppermint Grove showed poise under pressure to produce a 5-1 win over Royal Kings Park.
All six rubbers went to a third-set tiebreak, with the home side holding their nerve in all bar one of them to secure the victory.
