With direct east coast flights into Broome back from early April, a new campaign offering $200 off airfares from Sydney and Melbourne has kicked off today.
Launched by Webjet in partnership with Australia’s North West, Broome International Airport and Tourism WA, the 10-day campaign will run until March 25 and offer the deal for flights between April and September 2022.
The deal comes after WA dropped its hard border on March 3 and looks to attract tourists from the east coast back to WA.
It coincides with the State Government’s launch of the $12 million marketing blitz to lure interstate travellers back to WA.
The ‘Wander Out Yonder’ marketing blitz saw a series of high-impact marketing initiatives kick-off across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria from March 4.
When the border first reopened, the State Government also gave away more than $500,000 of vouchers for some of WA’s most popular tourist experiences.
The vouchers were given to incoming travellers at Perth Airport, with 200 toy quokkas also handed out to celebrate the return of interstate travellers and promote ‘The World’s Happiest Animal’.
