Bluegrass is all about tradition, and so is Planet Bluegrass, the host of the ever-popular Telluride Bluegrass Festival.

The production company has made it a habit to keep us warm during the chilly months by announcing the lineup for the forthcoming Telluride Bluegrass Festival on the winter solstice. That’s today! And so with the snow cometh the initial lineup for the festival’s 45th annual edition.

Among your headliners this year at the world-famous four-day event at Telluride Town Park are alt-country breakout Sturgill Simpson, the legendary Emmylou Harris, a live broadcast of Chris Thile’s “Live From Here” (formerly Garrison Keillor’s “A Prairie Home Companion”), and of course Sam Bush, who’s marking his 44th Telluride Bluegrass Festival as a performer.

The 45th annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival is on June 21-24, 2018. Tickets run $85-$240 and are on sale now via bluegrass.com.

Check out the initial list of artists below, which represents about 2/3 of the full lineup.
