STM Loves: The Great Dino Discovery, SIX the Musical, Georgie Aué album launch and spring dresses

Floaty spring dresses

September brings with it a welcome influx of gorgeous spring frocks, and we have our eyes on this sweet floaty number from Dunsborough label Indian Summer Co’s latest collection. The Bluebell dress, $269, is made from 100 per cent cotton with blue floral embroidering and will have you dreaming of a sun-soaked holiday.

The Great Dino Discovery

If you’re in need of some school holiday activities to keep the young ones entertained, visit Cockburn Gateway’s dinosaur-themed kids area running from September 24 to October 9.

Kids can unleash their inner archaeologist at the big dig area to discover bones, dino eggs and meet the animatronic creatures of the Cretaceous period, from the Velociraptor, to Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus Rex.

SIX the Musical

Producers of SIX, the Tony Award winning musical phenomenon by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, are bringing the Australian production to town at Crown Theatre in November.

The electrifying performance remixes the stories of Britain’s notorious Tudor King Henry VIII’s six wives — Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howard and Catherine Parr — as they transform into pop princesses and sing their rebellious stories.

Tickets have already gone on sale at sixthemusical.com and if its record-breaking 15-week run at the Sydney Opera House is anything to go by, the show is set to make an exciting addition to Perth’s theatre scene.

Dare To Do It

If you’re self-confessed Escape to the Chateau fans like us (if not, you must put the series on your to-watch list) you’ll be pleased to hear that the ever-inspiring Dick and Angel Strawbridge are coming to Perth for their Dare To Do It Tour.

The television stars — who famously renovated their home, the Chateau de la Motte Husson in France, from a rickety, old building to a fairytale castle — will take to the stage at the Perth Concert Hall on February 12.

Designer Angel and retired Lieutenant Colonel, engineer and chef Dick will be giving the audience fascinating insights about their journey; who they are, where they have come from, how they met, and why they dared to do it!

Tickets and more information are available from perthconcerthall.com.au
