Sinner and Schwartzman remain on course

The European Open has remained on course for its anticipated final with the top two seeds, Jannik Sinner and Diego Schwartzman, easing into the semi-finals with straight-sets wins.

Italy’s Sinner cruised past Arthur Rinderknech, of France, 6-4, 6-2 in 78 minutes. Argentina’s Schwartzman swept aside Brandon Nakashima, of United States, 6-4, 6-2, by the same score, albeit it took him 18 minutes longer.

In the last four Sinner will play No.7 seed Lloyd Harris, of South Africa, who defeated Hungary’s Marton Fucsovics 6-2, 7-5.

Schwartzman wil face either American qualifier Jenson Brooksby or unseeded Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, of Spain.
