The search for a swimmer missing in a dam in NSW has resumed.
The man was boating with friends at Bathurst about 1.30pm on Christmas Day when he said he was going to swim 300 metres back to shore, police say.
His friends saw him disappear under the water when a storm struck the area a short time later.
Emergency services searched for the man, but it was suspended at 7pm because of poor light.
Police, local rescuers and SES crews will continue the search on Sunday morning with assistance from police divers.
