Royals Saints 1 continued their impressive start to the Albany Netball Association A1 season, shooting clear of rivals Kangas 1 to record their fourth straight win on Saturday.
The 53-40 result was set up by a strong first half as Royals Saints led by nine goals at half-time as they outscored their opponents in every quarter.
Kangas 1 produced a better second half as they continued to make changes to their forward half with their best quarter coming in the last as they fought on with a 12-goal to 13 term.
Royals Saints shooters Carly Szczecinski and Nardia Humphries were given plenty of supply as their side moved a win clear on top of the table. Defending premiers Magpies 1 were one of the big movers for the round after edging clear of Narrikup 1 to earn a hard-fought five-goal win.
After a slow start, which saw them trail by seven goals at half-time, Narrikup 1 fought back in the second half but could not bridge the decisive gap as Magpies 1 held on 45-40. The win moved Magpies 1 from fourth to second by one point in a tight top four.
Sonix also made their move into the top four, moving up from sixth on the ladder with a comprehensive 29-goal win over the winless Kangas 2, 64-35.
Railways recorded their third win of the season and in the process, dislodged Grammar 1 from the top four.
Grammar had been in third spot but the 50-40 win by Railways saw Grammar fall to sixth spot and the victors creating a ladder logjam.
