Roll into Mitchell Park | The West Australian

The City of Busselton and local businesses have partnered with The Building Busselton Town Team to bring family-friendly school holiday activity Roll into Mitchell Park to the CBD next month.

Members of the public are invited cycle, wheel or skate to Mitchell Park for a wheels-themed morning with appearances from the police, South West Cycles and Fat Duck cycles to give expert advice on bikes, road rules and safe cycling practices.

City of Busselton Sustainability Officer Carolyn Ryder said this was a fun yet informative event for families to learn about road rules to keep their children safe.

BBTT member Lisa Skrypichayko said the event will attract more people to CBD during the school holidays.

“The novelty of leaving their cars at home will mean they will slow down and take the opportunity to spend more time enjoying what our retail streets have to offer,” Ms Skrypichayko said.

Local businesses have donated giveaway vouchers and prizes for the October 6 event, for more information visit www.facebook.com/events/314995486464323
