Queensland snake wrangler takes matters into his own bare hands

A Queensland man has been spotted removing a snake from a busy three-lane highway using just his bare hands.

The brave bloke was filmed by a passenger in a nearby car, who can be heard cackling at the absurdity of the situation.

In the short clip, the man can be seen standing on a median strip on Logan Road in Brisbane, holding a python by the tail, asking cars to stop so he can cross the road.

While it’s unclear if the wrangler was successful in crossing the road with the agitated reptile, right before the footage ends it looks like he gets a bite to the ankle.

The video was posted to Brown Cardigan’s Instagram page on Tuesday where it was viewed more than 40,000 times in just one hour.

“This is as Aussie as you can get,” wrote one user.

“Balls of steel. What a legend,” commented another.

The video comes a couple of weeks after a Queensland grandmother was filmed fearlessly removing two pythons from her barbecue with nothing but her hands.
