Ponting’s Capitals off to flying start

A thumping unbeaten 75-run partnership off five overs swept Delhi Capitals to victory in the second match of the new Indian Premier League campaign.

Bumrah’s 3.2 wicketless overs went for 43 as Capitals won with ten balls to spare. Australian Sams suffered even greater punishment, conceding 0-57 off four overs while Mills’ three overs were hit for 26.

Mumbai’s innings was built around 81 off 48 balls by Ishan Kishan, supported by Rohit Sharma (41 off 32). Kuldeep Yadav took 3-18 from his four overs.
