Police investigate dash cam vision of car swerving at motorbike rider on Causeway in East Perth

Alarming footage of a driver swerving towards a motorbike rider in East Perth is being investigated by police.

In vision caught on dash cam, it isn’t clear exactly what sparked the incident along the Causeway about 12.30pm, Sunday.

After taking off from the lights at the intersection of Adelaide Terrace and Hay Street, the rider travels along before shifting into the left-hand lane.

Rather than simply driving past, the Nissan sedan swerves dangerously close to the vulnerable biker, before driving off.

“Got him. F*****g Jesus,” the driver who captured the vision can be heard saying.

Further down the road, at traffic lights on Shepperton Road, he tells the rider: “I’ve got (the driver) on camera. I’ll send it to police for you.”

The Nissan driver then exits his car to engage the bike rider before realising his handbrake has not been engaged.

He scrambles back inside to stop it bumping the car in front and chooses not to get out again.

A spokesman for WA Police said the incident is being investigated and no charges have been laid.
