Police hunting armed robber after two robberies in Victoria Park and Karawara

Police are on the hunt for an armed robber after a service station and fast food restaurant were held up by a man wielding a metal bar within an hour of each other on Saturday night.

Regional Investigations Unit detectives are now probing the armed robberies, the first at a Puma service station on Albany Highway in Victoria Park about 10.40pm.

Police say the man approached the counter armed with a metal bar and demanded cash. However, he left the premises without any cash and was seen leaving the area on foot via Geddes Street.

At 11.20pm, a man entered the McDonald’s restaurant on Manning Road in Karawara and again approached the counter with a metal bar.
