Police charge teenagers over alleged $6 armed robbery in Claremont

Perth Detectives have charged two teenagers with aggravated armed robbery after they allegedly stole $6 from another teenager at knifepoint.

Police say a 15-year-old boy left an event at Claremont Showgrounds on Saturday, December 15, at 8.25am.

He was walking along Graylands Road into Kyle Way when the two teens allegedly approached him and demanded cash while threatening him with a knife.

The boy handed over $6 before being allowed to continue on and meet his mother.

A 17-year-old Mirrabooka boy will appear at Perth Children’s Court on January 4, while a 16-year-old Ballajura boy will appear on January 14.

Both were charged with aggravated armed robbery.

Inquiries into the incident are ongoing and detectives have called for anyone who witnessed the alleged robbery to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online.
