Perth motorist caught on her laptop on Kwinana Freeway

Perth has seen its fair share of distracted motorists, from ‘cereal’ offenders, to mobile phones, to drivers with meth pipe in hand.

Now, another driver has been caught-out seemingly breaking the law by using a laptop while behind the wheel.

The irresponsible motorist was snapped cruising in the right lane on Kwinana Freeway in a silver SUV with a laptop open in front of her.

The photos were posted to the Facebook page ‘Perth – Have a Whinge’ where other Perth motorists slammed the dangerous behaviour.

“That’s taking it to a whole new level of stupid,” wrote one user.

“She looks comfortable doing it, like she’s done it before,” wrote another user, suggesting it may not be the woman’s first offence.

The penalty for driving while using a laptop would likely incur the same $400 and three-demerit fine as when caught with a mobile phone.
