Perth Lynx claim a slice of club history with WNBL top two finish after beating Townsville Fire

Perth Lynx are just one win away from claiming the WNBL minor premiership after surviving a tough contest in difficult conditions to beat Townsville 75-68 at Townsville Stadium.

The Lynx have now sewn up a top two spot for just the fifth time and are focused on beating Townsville again on Sunday to win the minor premiership. The club has only achieved that twice – in 1992 when they won the title and during the 2017/18 season.

“Right now our job isn’t done,” coach Ryan Petrik said.
