Police have seized about 900 pieces of jewellery, worth more than $200,000, after searching city shop owned by a Perth jeweller last week.
Police seized rings, necklaces, bracelets, pendants, earrings, watches and charms after raiding a second-hand store in a Hay Street arcade.
An extendible baton was also found at the shop.
A subsequent search of the residential address in Thornlie that is linked to the business found more jewellery as well as paperwork related to the business.
A 36-year-old Thornlie man has been charged with laundering property and money from proceeds of a major offence and possessing a prohibited weapon.
The man’s second-hand dealer’s licence has since been cancelled.
He is set to appear at the Perth Magistrate’s Court on May 2.
Investigations are ongoing and police are urging people to look at a booklet with photos of the seized items.
