While two of Perth’s biggest Melbourne Cup bashes — Tipple and Suited — have sold out, there are still some top parties with last-minute tickets available.
For its first time celebrating the race that stops the nation, urban jungle Henry Summer will present wall-to-wall race-day coverage with music, prizes and an epic pamper station.
Two-level gastropub Market Grounds is going all out with its soiree, with walk-ins available for its main event and an after-party with DJs in the beer garden. Perth’s original horse stables will provide a fitting backdrop for the Melbourne Cup, with The Stables offering door sales for guests to sample chef Ben Keal’s cocktail menu.
In Cottesloe, The Beach Club will activate a range of spaces from the G. H. Mumm Champagne Lounge to the Pop-Up Rose Garden and the Stella Artois and Tanqueray Deck.
The Garden’s verdant court-yard will welcome punters with a glass of Villa Sandi prosecco, Heineken beer or Gordon’s pink gin plus canapes and big- screen viewing.
Keen to kick on? Crown Perth’s Cup Day Carnivale Street Party Fiesta is closing the hotel driveway from 2pm for a free-entry affair with DJs, live Brazilian entertainment, food trucks and bars.
