Open-top Holden Commodore fails to impress WA Police

It was Australian manufacturing with a touch of international flair but according to police this open-top Holden Commodore was also a mistake.

WA Traffic Police took to Twitter this afternoon to share two snaps of the “Red Rocket”, a VT or VX Commodore with it’s roof sawn off.

The new-look roadster was also covered in pink paint, which popped against the car’s original maroon finish.

While some might appreciate the effort, the result was hardly workshop pretty.

And although the car could be a fun way to cruise the coast, with the vehicle pictured at the beach, the authorities were less than impressed.

“It may seem a little ‘roofless’ but it isn’t always cool to go topless at the beach,” police tweeted, together with the hashtags “roofless” and “towed”.
