One virus case in SA as tests hit 500,000

A woman in her 20s has tested positive for COVID-19 after recently returning to Adelaide from overseas.

SA Health says the woman is in hotel quarantine and is no risk to the wider community.

Hers is also considered an old infection but takes the number of cases in SA since the start of the pandemic to 476.

There are currently four people with active infections. All contracted the disease while overseas and all are in hotel quarantine.

The number of tests for coronavirus performed in SA has also topped 500,000 with the 2585 performed on Monday, taking the total to 502,101.
