One man lifeless, another seriously injured after truck ploughs into pedestrians in Derby

One man is dead and another was seriously injured after they were hit by a truck along Derby Highway last week.

The two pedestrians were walking along the highway just before 6pm on Thursday, May 16, around 29 kilometres south of Derby, when an Isuzu truck ploughed into them.

A 46-year-old man from Looma died at the scene. A 39-year-old man was seriously injured and was flown to Royal Perth Hospital in a critical condition.

Police said the 65-year-old driver of the truck was assisting them with their inquiries.
