NT police officer charged with assault

A Northern Territory police officer has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

NT police said the 21-year-old had been bailed to face the Katherine Local Court on August 29.

They said the case was under investigation by the Professional Standards Command but as it was now before the court, no further information would be provided.
