NRL’s integrity unit probes former Jillaroos representative Caitlin Moran over social media post about Queen

The NRL’s integrity unit is investigating former Jillaroos representative Caitlin Moran over a social media post about the Queen.

The Newcastle NRLW player put the post about the death of the Queen on her Instagram account on Friday.

Moran was heavily criticised for her comments and deleted the post after about eight hours.

“The NRL became aware of the post on Friday … the Knights were contacted immediately and inquiries commenced by the NRL integrity unit,” an NRL spokesman told AAP.

Moran is still slated to play against the Sydney Roosters in a top two clash at Allianz Stadium on Sunday, named at fullback.

Moran, 25, was part of the Australian team who won the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.

She has also represented NSW and the Indigenous All Stars.
