Perth Glory have grabbed young striker Luke Ivanovic from Brisbane Roar for the next two A-League seasons.
Ivanovic, 22, who scored four times in nine starts for Roar last year, made his senior breakthrough for Sydney in 2018 and went on to play 38 times for the Sky Blues over three seasons.
Glory coach Ruben Zadkovich said Ivanovic was an exciting addition to the new-look squad.
“He possesses a lot of high quality attributes that suit our model and has a sharp eye for goal,” Zadkovich said.
“We are very excited to have a player like Luke in our ranks.
“He will add a different dimension to our frontline, has a lot of scope to improve and is real prospect for the club.”
Ivanovic said he was looking forward to the new challenge.
“I thought to myself that this is a great opportunity to see what they are building up to this year,” he said.
“Having spoken to Ruben I am super-excited. I want to be winning games and scoring goals.
“I want to be a key asset to the team and I’m really looking forward to getting started.”
Head of recruitment Andy Keogh said: “He is a player who has bags of potential but now has come to an age where consistency is key.”
“His attributes are there for all to see and now it’s up to us and him to come together and make the most of them.
“He has a very bright future.”
Ivanovic played his youth football for the Football NSW Institute, APIA Leichardt and Bonnyrigg White Eagles before making his debut for Sydney.
He joined Roar ahead of the 2021-22 season, scoring in his debut against Melbourne City.
