Fremantle speedster Stephen Hill has been named for Saturday’s clash against Carlton at Etihad Stadium after missing two matches with a recurring quad injury.
Hill joins veteran ruckman Aaron Sandilands (concussion) and Brownlow medallist Nat Fyfe in the team.
Neither Hill or Sandilands played since the loss to North Melbourne at Optus Stadium in round 10 on May 27.
It will be Fyfe’s 150th AFL game after he missed Sunday’s thrilling win over Adelaide due to suspension.
Key defender Alex Pearce (thumb) has been ruled out with injury and livewire Michael Walters is serving a one-match striking ban.
Pearce is expected to miss between two to four weeks after having a pin inserted in his thumb.
Ruckman Scott Jones is the only unforced omission, with fellow tall Michael Apeness holding his spot.
Forward Cam McCarthy was named as an emergency alongside Jones, Mitch Crowden and Ethan Hughes.
Carlton have made two changes with key forward Levi Casboult returning from a hip injury and Nick Graham also included.
David Cuningham is out injured and former Port Adelaide defender Cam O’Shea has been dropped.
