Mini resort boasts maximum living

A slice of sophisticated luxury is up for grabs in a tucked away Gooseberry Hill home, evident from the outset with a long driveway which leads to a hotel-style entrance for added class.

The residence at 198 Williams Street resembles a miniature resort, with a towering two-storey facade nestled in the Perth Hills.

The Agency Perth Property Partner Patrick Harper described the home as having an opulent Italian/Mediterranean style with an imposing facade visible from the road.

The giant 1771sqm block means the home and its exterior is packed with luxurious and eye-catching features to impress both the owners and guests.

Enter the leafy property via the 85m-long driveway, which is lit up at night for extra effect, and come into view of the Mediterraean-esque porte cochere, just like you would see in a luxury hotel or resort.

The main entrance to the home is notably situated to the side. Enter through French double doors while the car, or limousine, continues further down to park in the three-car garage.

The owners of the home said when entering the home you were greeted by a cathedral ceiling and an elevated aspect over the formal lounge room.

“The formal lounge is carpeted, with the remainder of the ground floor containing porcelain tiles throughout,” they said.

The layout of the home is designed to make the most of every corner. Built in 1996, the bottom floor has a large lounge room, a living room and a home office in a unique layout which provides great separation – perfect for a family with teenagers.

The dining and living areas contain the larger open space to socialise with guests, with the sunken dining area and feature pillars highlighting the Italian character of the home. This open area contains plenty of windows to warm the home with natural light and views overlooking Perth.

“The kitchen area has generous granite benchtops and storage spaces, with quality appliances that include double ovens, a gas cooktop and a walk-in pantry, all supporting the kitchen area, feature pool, garden and Perth views beyond,” the owners said.

The kitchen and dining area opens up to the front outdoor space, making for a great entertaining option which blends inside and out.

The verandah area is ideal for the summer months, overlooking the pool and Perth’s purple sunsets and distant skyline.

The top level of the home contains all four bedrooms and two of the three bathrooms, with a classy balcony for even better views.

The master bedroom makes full use of this balcony, sharing it with the lounge area – a multifunctional room or just a spot to kick back and relax.

“To the right of the second-floor landing is a lounge room that can provide the essence of hills tranquility as a retreat to relax and reflect, or a space to enjoy close company and conversation,” the owners said.

“The low-density bush setting, local village culture, proximity to schools and amenities all contribute to delivering a sense of community that is a sought-after commodity. Gooseberry Hill’s proximity to Perth and location to the east makes it an easy commute when required and an ideal choice for a work/lifestyle balance.”
